Raj Ferber PLLC is a Washington, D.C.-based boutique law firm that helps companies prepare for, manage, and recover from cybersecurity incidents and other business compromise risks.
Drawing on our extensive experience in government, the C-Suite, and AmLaw 50 law firms, we have a uniquely broad understanding of organizations’ risk profiles, as well as the perspectives of regulators, law enforcement, whistleblowers, and opposing parties in cyber-related litigation. This enables us to offer practical and business-minded solutions to pre-incident readiness, incident response, and post-incident recovery.
With cyber threats at an all-time high and adversaries continuously increasing in sophistication and persistence, organizations should assess and mitigate risk well before an incident ever occurs. We conduct top-down cyber risk assessments and develop individualized incident response plans tailored to organizations’ needs. In an incident’s aftermath, we help manage all aspects of the response, including the internal investigation, business continuity efforts, and recovery of misappropriated data and funds.

Founding Partners Scott Ferber and Kiran Raj are former cybercrime prosecutors, senior officials at the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, Big Law partners advising Fortune 500 companies, and corporate executives in the high-risk financial services and fintech sectors. They have dedicated their careers to combatting cybersecurity threats and helping organizations recover from incidents.
Kiran and Scott have conducted numerous top-down, enterprise-wide cyber risk assessments and managed hundreds of security incidents, including sophisticated nation-state intrusions, ransomware attacks, business email compromises, and cyber-enabled theft of proprietary information. In these incidents, they have led the response team; overseen the forensic investigation, containment, and remediation efforts; engaged with regulators; coordinated strategic communications and law enforcement outreach; managed third-party notifications; and recovered misappropriated data and funds. They also have helped companies create cyber-related whistleblower governance programs and investigated whistleblower complaints about allegedly deficient cybersecurity practices.
